Ewha Graduate School of International Studies would like to announce the creation of a new source of support for our international students called the Janet A. Napolitano Scholarship, which will come into effect in Spring 2022 (the 2 recipients have already been chosen for Spring 2022). The scholarship fund has been named in honor of the former Governor of Arizona, Secretary of Homeland Security, President of the University of California System, and role model of women leadership, Dr. Janet A. Napolitano.
This scholarship has been graciously donated by Mr. Spencer H. Kim, CEO of CBOL Corporation, after co-hosting the first William J. Perry lecture which invited distinguished speaker, Dr. Janet A. Napolitano. Mr. Kim was impressed by the passionate students at Ewha GSIS, and how active they were during the lecture, raising questions related to social issues and what women should do as future leaders of tomorrow. As a result, he has offered personally to support this graduate student scholarship.
On Ewha GSIS’s part, we are thankful for this prestigious scholarship opportunity that will open doors to more students and support a larger body of future women leaders, in their advancement in higher education. Details about the scholarship are as follows:
