As I reflect on my journey to choose the path for my academic and professional aspirations, I feel compelled to share the various reasons that led me to become a EWHA GSIS student. For those who are interested in gender studies and want to be a successful woman leader in the future, EWHA is the best choice. At EWHA GSIS, the commitment to woman empowerment and gender studies is ingrained in its very fabric. EWHA GSIS stands at the forefront, advocating for gender equality and amplifying the voices of women in academia, policymaking, and beyond. With a pioneering Women’s Leadership Center and a curriculum that integrates gender perspectives across disciplines, EWHA GSIS empowers students to challenge stereotypes, dismantle barriers, and drive positive change in their communities and beyond. Through rigorous academic inquiry, collaborative research initiatives, and experiential learning opportunities, students at EWHA GSIS are not only equipped with the tools to address pressing gender issues but also inspired to become agents of progress, shaping a more inclusive and equitable future for all. For me, woman empowerment was one of the main reasons that led me to Ewha GSIS and now, I’m taking a class named “Global Woman Leadership” to train myself to be a leader in the future.

Campus
Ewha Womans University , located in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, boasts a beautiful campus that combines modern architecture with lush greenery, creating a serene and vibrant environment for learning and exploration. Ewha campus offers a dynamic and inspiring environment where tradition meets innovation, fostering a culture of academic excellence, creativity and community engagement.
Also, the campus is situated in the vibrant Sinchon district of Seoul, known for its bustling streets, shops, cafes, and entertainment venues. For the nearby attractions, there are Sinchon Shopping Street and lively Hongdae area, famous for its indie music scene and nightlife. In addition, famous tourist spots such as Gyeongbokgung Palace, Myeongdong and Bukchon Hanok Village is also closed to Ewha campus. So, why don’t you come and enjoy your life at Ewha!

My decision to choose Ewha GSIS stems from a profound alignment of values, aspirations and opportunities.
